Organization Structure GSFP

The Minister of LGRDE
On behalf of the Ghanaian government the Ministry of Local Governance, Rural Development and Environment (LGRDE ) is the co-ordinative ministry for GSFP and is the point of contact for all intergovernmental activities and relations.

National Secretariat
The National Secretariat of GSFP in Ghana executes the programme and is the Ghanaian counterpart of the SIGN secretariat in the Netherlands.

Project Steering Committee (PSC)
 A Project Steering Committee (PSC) was formed in 2007; this PSC will be responsible for policy rules and implementation, decisions with respect to governmental priorities and inter-ministerial or inter-sectoral collaboration. It will also monitor the results, impacts and outcomes of programmes. The PSC will not involve itself directly with relations or with commitments made by partners. The ministers of the involved ministries (or their representatives) and the Executive Director of the National Secretariat will be members of the PSC.

District Implementation Committees (DIC)
The existing district committees form the DICs, which are responsible for the execution of GSFP.

School Implementation Committees (SIC)
Most of the schools have a SIC, which comprises of representatives of the school management and the parent-teacher association.

Strategic Partners
Organizations that substantially support GSFP, most of them through a Memorandum of Understanding.
